Summer will start any day now and we will celebrate the coming sun with some spectacular new releases! First off, for any of those who didn’t get any, we finally have the repress of thee Ohsees/Paul Cary 7″(w/misprints corrected). Very limited copies for both retail and wholesale, so no trades please. Order now if you want one because they probably won’t last long!
Our first new release of the summer marks a new era for Stankhouse Records. The new Foot Ox record-OOO-will be made available with MP3 download card. We’re just waiting on the inserts from the band and these records are ready, sometime in mid to late june. Also, OOO by Foot Ox is NOW AVAILABLE in CD format from this website.
The Dragging an Ox through Water 7″ release show will be at Valentine’s on June 29th with Golden Retriever, Kevin Shields, and Soft Metals.
You can expect MP3 downloads with almost all of our new vinyl releases. Big Black Cloud has been hard at work at ChainGang art studios screen printing covers for their new record DARK AGE, due for release sometime between mid-july and mid-august. We just approved the test press for the Hornet Leg album and Purple Rhinestone Eagle is planning their record release show on July 24th. Hopefully, the records will be here by then.
In addition to these 4 records, we are planning a special release of the Tiny Knives full length on CD and cassette tape. The tape will come with an MP3 download card. The vinyl version should be available in late fall. That makes five new releases to look forward to this summer from Stankhouse Records. Be sure to check out the stankhouse showcase this Thursday June 3rd at Branx, 320 SE 2nd. Scheduled to perform are Big Black Cloud, Purple Rhinestone Eagle, Tiny Knives, Don Hellions and Dragging an Ox through Water. 9pm $5
